Jane is a non-executive director of Yorkshire Mentoring a Community Interest Company which provides consultancy and training to enable organisations to implement mentoring programmes which support the development of people to progress in education, employability, volunteering or enterprise.

Yorkshire Mentoring can also support organisation to identify and apply for funding to support the setting up of mentoring programmes.
Projects have included establishing mentoring programmes for Trinity Academy, Halifax for looked after children and Harrogate and District Mind for members recovering from mental health conditions. Current projects include working with Wakefield District Sight Aid to deliver a programme of training and mentoring for their clients and supporting Digitally Active a Wakefield-based social enterprise supporting those who identify as neuro-diverse.
